parse

public static ISortExpression.SortDirection parse(String direction)

Parses a string to a SortDirection enumeration value. The strings 'asc' or 'ascending' will be parsed to ASC. The strings 'desc' or 'descending' will be parsed to DESC. The string will be parsed case-insensitive. If parsing fails, ASC is returned.

Parameters:

direction - the string to parse

Returns:

the sort direction
